In 1985, I created a pyramid, tiled structure in Caulm’s Wood Park in Dewsbury. After 35 years, it needed some of the tiles replacing to restore it and I was asked to do it – thanks to a community group’s latest efforts to rejuvenate this wooded park. Over the years it had suffered some vandalism and general wear and tear.
It was a very interesting process to try to replicate the general mood and appearance of pieces done so long ago!
Replacement tiles going in…. And they fit… to my relief!
I remember this going in – I was just a little kid at the time. Great to see it’s been restored.
*I was born in 1985, so this has been around as long as
I can remember. It was always one of the highlights
